Stretch panels, seamless shoulders, and a 2-way zipper ensure freedom of movement and system integration, while G-Loft® zones maintain performance under moisture and pressure.

The WATUSI HOODED EXPEDITION DOWN JACKET is engineered for the toughest missions in extreme cold and high-altitude environments. The CORDURA® Ripstop outer fabric with C0-DWR delivers abrasion resistance and weather protection, while 800 cuin hydrophobic goose down (RDS-certified, Nikwax-treated) combined with YAK Boxwall™ construction ensures maximum thermal performance without cold spots.
In exposed zones such as the shoulders, synthetic insulation is used to better manage moisture and increase durability. The extended drop-tail cut, seamless shoulder construction, and stretch panels provide full freedom of movement – even when worn with a helmet, backpack, or harness.
Technical details such as a Lycra® inner pocket for bottles up to 1.5 L, an integrated snow skirt, YKK® zippers, and a one-hand adjustable hood system reinforce the expedition-ready design.

Blackyak products are developed using a range of technical materials. To allow your garment to function perfectly it is essential that the material is clean and has been properly maintained. Dirt, oil, salt and other invasive elements will impair functions, such as breathability, insulation & water repellancy. We suggest that you care for your functional clothing by washing it regularly and by following our simple instructions. We will show you how to care for your BLACKYAK products so that they perform perfectly for you, when you need them to.

WASCHANLEITUNG

MERINO

Merino wool cools, warms, prevents strong odors, is soft and light. In addition, the care of the natural material is simple. In order to guarantee the longevity of the product, a few things should nevertheless be observed when washing.

3 IMPREGNATION GORE® WINDSTOPPER®: If water no longer beads off, re-impregnate. Permanently water repellent surfaces: Wash and rinse twice. Do not reimpregnate

High performance equipment requires regular care to ensure that all functions are fully maintained and that the longevity of the product is guaranteed. Because sweat, grease, oils and dirt reduce the range of functions. Therefore, all GORE-TEX® – GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ products should be washed and dried regularly. This ensures that no rain can penetrate even during the next use.

1 DRY After air drying, tumble dry for 20 minutes. This reactivates the permanently water-repellent impregnation of the upper material.

2 IRONING Alternatively to the dryer, the impregnation can also be reactivated by ironing (warm, without steam). Place a cloth between the garment and the iron.

3 IMPREGNATION If the impregnation can no longer be activated by drying, it is advisable to apply a new impregnation.

DAUNE

In order to maintain the insulating effect of the down in a product, it should be washed regularly. Wet and clotted down lose their bulking power, and thus their ability to store warm air. If lumps of down can already be seen from the outside or if an unpleasant odor can be detected, the down product should be washed.

1 Das Produkt separat von anderer Wäsche mit 4 Daunenwaschbällen (alternativ Tennisbällen) in den Trockner geben

2 60 Minuten bei 60 °C trocknen

3 Mind. 1 Stunde auskühlen lassen und gelegentlich aufschütteln

4 Erneut für 60 Minuten trocknen

5 Produkt auskühlen lassen und im kalten Zustand auf Restfeuchtigkeit überprüfen

6 Gegebenenfalls erneuter Trocknungsdurchgang

Every functional garment loses its performance through intensive use. Accordingly, garments should also be washed with synthetic insulation. The principle of regularity is as follows: as rarely as possible, as often as necessary.
