Die TILICHO Kapuzen Daunenjacke. Leicht. Isolierend. Kompromisslos.

The TILICHO Hooded Down Jacket. Light. Insulating. Uncompromising.

When cold, wind, and long belays come together, one thing matters most: reliable warmth without unnecessary bulk and without insulation that limits you when it counts. That’s exactly what the TILICHO Hooded Down Jacket is built for: a high-performance top layer for cold alpine missions, expeditions, mountaineering, and as a no-compromise belay jacket. With a regular fit, it integrates cleanly into your layering system without feeling bulky and stays consistently lightweight at 445 g (15.7 oz).

Core insulation performance

Inside, the jacket uses 800 cuin goose down (90/10), RDS-certified and NIKWAX®-treated. The hydrophobic finish helps keep down performance stable when moisture becomes a factor whether from condensation, snow contact, or shifting conditions in the mountains. The objective is clear: maximum insulation at minimal weight and pack size, without the jacket “collapsing” in real use.

Baffle construction to eliminate cold spots:

It’s not only the down that matters, but how it’s engineered to work inside the product. The TILICHO features an innovative butterfly baffle construction designed to reduce cold bridges and distribute warmth more evenly. This is supported by stretch baffles and mechanical stretch inserts on the back a technical approach that ensures the jacket doesn’t bind during movement and works ergonomically while climbing, reaching, or belaying.

Stable under pressure and moisture: G-LOFT® in critical zones

Down is unbeatable, as long as it maintains loft. Under pressure (e.g., shoulder straps, harness) or in damp conditions, those exact areas become critical. That’s why BLACKYAK adds G-LOFT® insulation zones at the shoulders, underarms, and cuffs. These synthetic sections reinforce warmth where down naturally loses efficiency faster, stabilizing the overall system for real mountain conditions.

Outer fabric for demanding use

The shell is made from lightweight CORDURA® Ripstop with a C0 DWR finish. This delivers the balance alpine gear needs: durable enough for rock contact, packs, and gear handling yet light and supple enough to avoid turning the jacket into a “shell of armor.” The water-repellent finish sheds light precipitation and snow without overly sealing the fabric.

Freedom of movement and system integration

For true missions, insulation must do more than keep you warm, it has to work with your full setup. The TILICHO features a seamless shoulder construction to reduce pressure points under backpacks and straps. Add ergonomic patterning and a YKK Vislon® 2-way front zipper ideal when wearing a harness, needing quick ventilation, or keeping layering clean at the belay. An internal placket prevents fabric snagging; the YAK zipper puller remains easy to operate even with gloves.

Head and weather protection

The helmet-compatible hood is designed for alpine reality: it fits under a climbing helmet, includes a visor for added weather protection, and can be dialed in precisely with a one-hand adjustment. A comfortable collar lining improves wear comfort when the wind picks up or when you’re zipped up for extended periods.

Storage that makes sense in use

Pockets are positioned to remain backpack- and harness-compatible. Details like a zipper garage and Lycra® mesh inserts improve handling and security. Inside, a zippered inner pocket plus a Lycra® mesh pocket complete the storage setup for small essentials that need to stay accessible.

Technical warmth that works as a system

The TILICHO isn’t just a “warm down jacket” it’s a fully engineered alpine warmth system: down for maximum efficiency, synthetic zones for stability under pressure and moisture, plus a construction that takes freedom of movement and layering seriously. That’s how gear is built, not for a showroom, but for the moment that matters: outside, cold, high, uncompromising.
