The Bakosi G2 utilizes a clever combination of down and synthetic insulation to provide the best possible warmth protection under various conditions. High-quality, RDS-certified goose down with a fill power of 800 cuin is used in the chest and upper arm areas, ensuring excellent thermal insulation. Since down is sensitive to moisture and compression, synthetic G-LOFT® insulation is used in high-wear areas such as under the arms and along the sides. This insulation performs exceptionally well even in damp conditions, as it maintains its form and effectively wicks away moisture without losing volume or heat retention.
CORDURA® Outer Material for Maximum Durability
The outer shell of the jacket is made from durable CORDURA® Ripstop, a material known for its high abrasion resistance and longevity. This material is specifically designed to withstand the harsh conditions of mountain sports and ensure the jacket remains durable even under heavy use. At the same time, the lightweight material ensures the jacket is not cumbersome and remains comfortable to wear. An additional DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment on the fabric ensures that water and snow bead off without affecting breathability.

Depending on the activity and temperature, various layers can be ideal under the Bakosi. For a base layer, the Gurla Line or the Kabru Merino Shirt are excellent for moisture management and insulation.
