BLACKYAK IN MUNICH
Our own PRODUCT LAB opens up fast, sustainable and almost unlimited possibilities for the development of new products. At BLACKYAK, the principle always applies: design follows function. First the function, then the design. Since 2019 we have integrated the PRODUCT LAB into our European headquarters on Leopoldstrasse in Munich. This is where our developers design all innovative and technical BLACKYAK products.
The highly functional BLACKYAK products are developed in the PRODUCT LAB on an area of 250 square meters, from the first drawing line to ready-to-use prototypes. The door is constantly opening and closing, the lines of communication are short: developers and designers, pattern makers and athletes discuss new products, test materials and work on the final design. With CAD software, various sewing machines, bonding and seam-sealing machines, laser cutters and ultra-sonic welding devices, the ideas are implemented directly, the limits of development are redefined and products are created that mountaineers trust.
